Settled in SG ("we", "the site") is a personal publishing project. This page explains what information is collected when you visit, and why.
The site is a set of static pages. We do not have user accounts and we do not ask you to log in. Our hosting provider (GitLab Pages) may keep standard server logs, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you request, for security and operational purposes.
We do not run a newsletter and we do not collect email addresses. You can follow new guides through the RSS feed, which requires nothing from you.
We may display advertisements served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. You can opt out of personalised advertising at Google Ads Settings. See also how Google uses information from sites that use its services.
We may use a privacy-respecting analytics service to count page views. Where we do, we will name it here. We do not sell or share personal data with anyone.
If you are in Singapore, the Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) applies. If you are in the EU or UK, the GDPR applies. In either case you can ask what data we hold about you — in practice, nothing beyond what you have sent us by email — and ask us to delete it by emailing hello@settledinsg.com.
